The Role:

We are looking for a self-driven Accounting Manager to join our growing organization.

Reporting into the Vice President of Finance, you will be responsible for supervising, monitoring, and evaluating all day-to-day accounting activities to ensure an accurate and timely accounting process.

We are looking for someone who is wanting to grow within the organization.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage the accounting team coach on daytoday tasks, set schedules and deadlines, and provide mentorship and development opportunities. Oversee their tasks related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and expense reconciliations, etc.
  • Participate in and then ultimately oversee our ERP transition.
  • Own the month and yearend close processes for the organization, delivering results on time and with consistently high levels of accuracy. Complete our process checklists and continue to update them to reflect how the business changes and grows.
  • Prepare and coordinate the yearly external financial statement audit.
  • Be responsible for maintenance of the general ledger system; prepare appropriate entries, reconcile accounts, and ensure accuracy of the financial statements.
  • Be accountable for timely and accurate submission of tax filings and statelevel reporting.
  • Own and administer our annual planning process and reforecasting cycles.
  • Oversee our current internal controls and strengthen them as our team and business grow.
  • Participate as requested in other strategic projects, providing analysis and financial insight.

Qualifications:


  • Qualified professional accountant (Canadian CPA).
  • A minimum of five (5) years of fullcycle accounting experience with at least two (2) years of experience managing a small team.
  • IFRS experience is considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems specifically ADP integration is valuable.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritizing, and managing multiple accounts at the same time.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
