Description
The Adult and Youth Enrichment Center Inc. provides quality services to individuals age 6-50+ years, who struggle with (either/or/combined) mental health /addictions/behavioural/ developmental disabilities.


Job duties and responsibilities:


  • Working within a Day Program setting with youth and possibly adults with developmental disabilities
  • Working within a Respite Program with youth and possibly adults with developmental disabilities
  • Administer medication
  • Complete daily tasks and activities of living
  • Manage behaviours and diffuse situations as needed
  • Provide a safe and caring environment
  • Follow protocols created by clinicians, parents/guardians, and the AYEC
  • Accompany on community outings
  • Daily documentation
  • Report to Manager

Requirements:


  • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
  • First Aid and CPR
  • Minimum of 2year diploma DSW
  • NVCI/CPI
**French is an asset
**Drivers license and access to a vehicle an asset


Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Casual


Salary:
From $23.86 per hour


Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 12 hour shift
  • 4 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Holidays
  • Monday to Friday
  • Morning shift
  • Night shift
  • On call
  • Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Greater Sudbury, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Working with children: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) (preferred)
  • CPR Certification (preferred)
