The selected individual will work closely with the Senior Vice President and team members from various offices to further develop the public sector water resource practice.

The selected individual should be highly motivated and excel at working in a fast pace, adaptive and innovative environment. They should be able to integrate into collaborative project teams and be able to manage competing priorities.

The Role
Reporting to the Senior Vice President, this position will be responsible for business development, proposal preparation, project management, and delivery of projects in any of the following areas:

Floodplain studies
Watershed studies
Stormwater Management facility retrofits
Approval authority permitting
Municipal Peer Review
Stormwater management and drainage design for various municipal infrastructure including:
Road design and reconstruction
Bridges and culverts
Transit
Solid waste management
Public facilities

As a senior professional within the organization, you will have responsibilities that include the following:

Lead or support project/client managers in establishing appropriate scope, budget, and timelines for deliverables; and work with teams, throughout the offices, to implement delivery;
Ensure quality and timely delivery of project deliverables to meet the client's needs;
Manage project financial performance and help manage team utilization;
Provide mentorship and training to a team of water resource engineers, and technical staff and participate actively and formally in their development plans;
Participate in the development of the annual business plan;
Assist in client development and prepare proposals; and
Other duties as assigned.

Professional Knowledge & Qualifications

A registered professional engineer
Experience as a project manager for stormwater / water resource projects
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong analytical and data management skills
Experience leading and mentoring staff teams
Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite of programs
Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects concurrently; and
A valid Ontario driver's license and vehicle

The following experience and skills are considered additional assets:

Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation Inroads; and
Formal project management training, (PMP designation or similar)
