Reaching Home is part of Canada's National Housing Strategy—_

Reaching Home:
Canada's Homelessness Strategy is
a community-based program aimed at preventing and reducing homelessness across Canada. This program provides funding to urban, Indigenous, rural and remote communities to help them address their local homelessness needs.

The Role:
Data Analysis and Research Officer

The Data and Research Officer for Reaching Home is responsible for supporting the Program Lead of Data Analysis and Research by providing analytical and technical support and advice in the Reaching Home program.

In this role you will work closely with the Program Lead of Data Analysis and Research to support community and equity-centered CFP, adjudication, and fund dispersal processes.

You will assist with the collection and analysis of data regarding homelessness, PiT Count, subproject deliverables and outcomes and support Community Entities and Community Advisory Boards with analytical and technical advice.

You will support the Program Lead in coordinating access for the Community Entity(CE)'s Reaching Home processes and assist with gathering stories of impact.

A typical day would involve any combination of:

Support Program Lead with providing analytical and technical support and advice to CE's, CAB.
Assist with the collection and analysis of data regarding homelessness, Pit Count, subproject deliverables and outcomes
Assist Program Lead with projects surrounding survey data (I.e., PiT count)
Provide support with data requests cross functionally
Assist with qualitative and quantitative data for the Reaching Home program
Support Program Lead in the preparation of data reports for CAB which may result in assisting with research projects surrounding the Reaching Home program
Assist the Program Lead to support coordinated access for CE's
Assist with gathering stories of impact
Carry out contract negotiation and prepare agreements for assigned projects
Conduct due diligence ̧ risk assessments, budget revisions and contract negotiations with recommended projects for managerial approval
Provide manager with summary report and best advice related to contract and budget and data issues
Meet with contract holders to ensure clear understanding of parameters of contract as well as to provide other resources (e.g. other funding opportunities, trainings etc. )
Be the key point of contact for a portfolio of subprojects
Carryout financial, activity and results monitoring and reporting for assigned projects
Process monthly claims and activity reports for portfolio of projects
Monitor assigned RH funded projects, collect and review required reports and identify challenges and opportunities for improvement in order to mitigate risk and stay on track to achieve project deliverables and RH community level outcomes
Provide manager with best advice as to how outcomes can be reached and funds can be expended
Support community engagement and capacity development of funded projects and homelessness serving sector
Coordinate, support and/or participate in assigned planning committees for RH and/or local initiatives funded by Reaching Home (e.g. CAB meetings, Community )
