Description

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the buyer is responsible for managing the short and long-term contracts with the suppliers for a portfolio of products.

Responsibilities:

Plan all purchasing activities
Order the various components and ensure the supply of materials
Optimize & maintain MRP parameters accurate
Followup on orders
Develop and manage the relationships with our suppliers and subcontractors
Monitor and work with supplier to improve performances, On Time Delivery
Quality & Communication
Work in collaboration with the design and engineering teams to source new materials required for the development of new products
Recommend new materials for costeffectiveness
Keep abreast of new materials on the market
Work in collaboration with the various departments of the organization

- solve issues linked with billing, merchandise delivery or any other area linked to your scope of activities

Participate in continuous improvement

Experience using MRP software, knowledge in Business Central Dynamics is an asset
Experience working with the principles of continuous improvement

Experience and Training:

Bachelor's degree in commerce or administration
Training in logistics and supply chain management (an asset)
A minimum of 35 years of experience in purchasing in the manufacturing industry
P.G.C.A. certification or CPIM or APIC considered an asset
