Our Calgary head office location is seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits Coordinator to support our diverse operations. This full-time hybrid (3 days in office) position.


Description:


The Payroll & Benefits Coordinator works directly with the Payroll & Benefits Supervisor to assist with full cycle payroll and benefits administration.

This position is key in the administration Ceridian Dayforce system.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist in preparing and processing fullcycle hourly and salary biweekly payrolls for all business units for approximately 700 + employees.
  • Prepare and issue biweekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and adhoc reports.
  • Assist with administering all company Benefits Programs, including employee changes, billings, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Assist with administering company Group RRSP and DPSP Program including employee changes, billing, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll in a professional and discrete manner.
  • Assist with yearend reconciliation and reporting requirements.
  • Assist with Aerodrome Averaging reconciliation and reporting as required by Canada Labour.
  • Assist in the fiscal year end and annual audit process.
  • Maintain HRIS and payroll systems, personnel files and filing systems, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all employee HR and payroll data.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll/HR systems and practice
  • Maintain a tidy and orderly work area exhibiting pride in work performance and contributing to a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Ensure exceptional, courteous, and respectful customer service
  • Comply with and participate in the Company's Health & Safety and Quality programs and initiatives
  • Perform any other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or payroll and benefits administration is preferred.
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification (or current enrolment in program) is required.
  • Minimum of two to four (24) years' experience managing full cycle payroll for over 500 employees, including completion of all yearend processes.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a confidential capacity, with a high level of professionalism.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills is required.
  • Proven experience managing competing priorities and juggling a variety of responsibilities.
  • Strong problem solving and decisionmaking skills, including the ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • High attention to detail, with a track record of mínimal administrative errors.
  • Selfmotivated with a demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.
  • Able to work collaboratively as a productive member of the EFC Team.
