- Advanced education in an approved enhanced specialty post anesthetic education course, and two (2) years recent, related clinical experience aligned with unit specific competencies or an equivalent combination of education and experience

The Staff RN, PACU, practices in accordance with the Vision, Values, Ethics and Standards of the organization and of the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and within a patient and family centered care model.
The Staff RN, PACU, provides nursing care in an acute clinical setting and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care.
Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Staff Nurse ensures the delivery of client-centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs.
This Staff RN, PACU, possesses a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, Evenings, 07:00 to 15:00, 10:00 to 18:00, 15:00 to 23:00 (Rotating) University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC) is the largest acute care facility (268 beds) in Northern Health and is the hub for specialized health services. It is a full service hospital and home to a new cancer centre for Northern BC, including a wide range of cancer treatments. Provides undergraduate physician training through the Northern Medical Program, run by the University of British Columbia and University of Northern British Columbia. UHNBC is also a key clinical education site for nursing and many health sciences students at UNBC, the College of New Caledonia, BCIT and other institutions. Prince George has a population of 89, local residents and is a service centre for approximately 320,000.
