  • Job SummaryThe Trade and Industry Development Division (TID), part of the Ministry of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation, facilitates trade promotion, investment attraction, industry development, and supports initiatives to increase export capacity in all regions of the province.


The Manager, Business Intelligence and Analysis leads a small team that plans, develops, and delivers business intelligence for the division.

The position's focus is on data and performance management analysis and the planning and delivery of ongoing business intelligence needs consistent with government and ministry strategic plans and priorities.

The Manager is responsible for operationalizing key projects, research briefs and other work to support the gathering, analysis, and delivery of high-quality intelligence on B.C.'s competitive advantages to inform trade and investment activities carried out by the division.


Job Requirements:


  • University degree and a minimum of two (2) years of *recent, related senior level experience.
  • A diploma and a minimum of four (4) years *recent, related senior level experience may be considered.
  • Recent, related senior level experience must include one or more of the following areas:
  • Supporting strategic business initiatives and or developing and delivering reporting and analysis.
  • Providing support, advice and or recommendations to a senior executive in both written and verbal form.
  • Managing relationships with senior level employees and stakeholders and leading consultation and needs analysis sessions.
  • Planning and performance measurement, preferably within the public sector.
  • Procurement processes and contract management.
  • Management of staff and/or project teams.

This position can be based in any of the following locations: Economic Dev & Innovation offices: Vancouver and Victoria.
