VFD Technician
JA Tech Inc.

Services vary in scope from emergency troubleshooting to installation, maintenance & acceptance testing, commissioning, start-up, system studies & analysis, repairs

Duties & Responsibilities

Installation, maintenance, & commissioning of low & medium voltage VFD units at various client locations
Respond to VFD breakdowns, troubleshooting
Test, calibrate, & repair damaged low & medium voltage VFD units
Set up parameters on VFDs
Advise on equipment upgrades & retrofits
Perform maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, & repair of low, medium & high voltage equipment in a safe & efficient manner
Construct low, medium, & high voltage equipment
Act as liaison with subcontractors & clients, develop customer service relationships
Ensure completion of technical reports & test sheets
Conduct work in a manner prescribed by JA Tech's Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental Manual

Skills & Qualifications

Red Seal Electrician or Diploma from recognized Electrical Engineering Technology Program-Registration with applicable professional association in good standing
Minimum 5 years' field experience on industrial/oil & gas/utility sites with proven leadership experience and experience with relays
Able to manage multiple priorities
Experience with testing equipment
Strong knowledge of drawings (wiring, schematic, & layout)
Valid Driver's Licence
Able to travel & remain at project sites as required
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
