PROFILE
We are currently seeking an experienced Recovery Services Clerk to join our fast-paced Recovery Services department.

Responsible for the preparation of the necessary legal documentation for power of sale action utilizing an advanced power of sale computer system, which includes managing a heavier file load.


RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Receiving, reviewing and opening files, including entering data.
  • Prepare, issue and serve all documents necessary from inception of file to closure of file.
  • Liaise with all internal and external parties involved with the proceedings, including preparation of all correspondence.
  • Monitor the various steps throughout the proceedings, dealing with any issues that may arise.
  • Review all correspondence and respond.
  • Receive and process all monies received in connection with the file.
  • Order Accounting report and ensure zero balance owing on account before closing file. Prepare file for storage and send to storage.
  • May act as a "go to person" for junior members of the team to provide direction and guidance.
  • Any other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Legal Administrative Assistant or Administrative Assistant Diploma/Certificate.
  • Five years' experience as a Recovery Services Clerk.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other Firm members, with the aptitude to take care of clients' needs in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Capacity to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • Produce a high quality and quantity of work product, occasionally under tight timelines.
  • Able to prioritize and to redefine priorities when necessary.
  • Handle stress in a businesslike manner.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
