    This position also offers you the opportunity to learn and surpass yourself in files requiring knowledge in several other areas of law such as commercial agreements, acquisitions and financing, employment law, governance and treasury, intellectual property and marketing.     Your job:

  • Provide legal advice and intervene in strategic matters that have a significant impact on the activities, operations and results of National Bank of Canada and its subsidiaries
  • Conduct analysis and research, issue legal opinions, and make recommendations to ensure the development and protection of National Bank of Canada and its subsidiaries
  • Understand the impact of regulatory requirements on the operations of National Bank of Canada and its subsidiaries
  • Improve internal processes and increase institutional knowledge
  • Analyze, interpret and review various reports and legal documents to protect the rights of National Bank of Canada

This position reports to a Senior Director, Privacy Sector

    Basic requirements

  • Bachelor of Laws and 5 years of experience in one of the following areas of law: artificial intelligence, technology, privacy, governance
  • Member of the Quebec Bar
  • Willingness and ability to learn and contribute in multiple areas of law
  • Experience in the banking industry an asset
  • Possess good judgment and business acumen
  • Propensity to offer efficient and quality service to business partners
  • Proactive, Leadership and Initiative
  • Ability to manage priorities and a large volume of files
  • Experience in a large firm desirable
    • Languages:
  • Language: French
  • Language: English
    • Reason to require this language: you will need to work closely with our colleagues outside Quebec.
