Job Summary:


The Supported Learning Group (SLG) Coordinator is responsible for overseeing, planning, and coordinating the operational activities of the SLG program and leaders, including supervising staff and student leaders.


The Coordinator undertakes activities related to recruiting, training, supporting and monitoring the performance of SLG student leaders and develops and implements marketing materials to promote the SLG program.

The Coordinator, SLG liaises with faculty members and department heads to promote the program and determine which courses could best benefit from the SLG program.

The incumbent revises and implements improvements to the SLG program based on analysis of data collected throughout the year.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in social science, Education or related discipline from a recognized institution.

Three (3) years of related experience; preferably working in a post-secondary environment.

Strong public speaking skills, ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

Strong organizational skills.

Strong ability and experience managing large number of staff students.

Strong ability to supervise staff.

Excellent oral and written communication.

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, and the ability to navigate challenging student situations
