The Calgary Green Line will be an expansion to the current C-Train system, connecting more communities to safe, efficient, and affordable public transit.

The project is comprised of 29 new stations and 46km of track and will include tunnels, bridges, park&ride facilities, and an MSF.

The Core Team will support the execution of the Technical Services with a range of Subject Matter Experts (SME) to provide specialist level depth of knowledge where necessary for the project.

As an SME, you will report directly to Engineering Management to contribute to discussions, deliverables, meetings, workshops, or other project efforts as deemed necessary to meet The City's obligations and ambitions with respect to delivery of the project.

Individual level of effort for each SME is expected to be emergent based on the needs of the project and specific opportunities and challenges identified through the Development Phase.

As Project Manager Utilities, you will be representing the City of Calgary providing oversight and mentorship to their contracting teams who are delivering the utility relocation projects.

With your extensive utility relocation project experience, it is expected that you would support on project management aspects such as (but not limited to): project status (e.g.

progress, budget, schedule, risks & issues), records management, communication & coordination, safety and quality assurance for all stages of the project.

You may work with Green Line Project Managers and other internal Green Line staff, City business units, external consultants, agencies, interested parties, and contractors to carry out all aspects required by the work.

You will be expected to provide updates and commentary (written & verbal) with respect to project and contractor performance.

A degree in Civil Engineering, registration as a Professional Engineer in Canada, and current licensure as a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) or licensure by the first day of work.
Minimum 10+ years of directly related project management experience utilities, civils etc.

on behalf of a contractor, including:
- coordinating with municipalities
- interfaces with consultants and third parties
- multiple utility experience

Strong communicational skills are critical.
Demonstratable experience of coaching / mentoring or equivalent roles are essential.
Good understanding of and working knowledge in City of Calgary processes is preferred.
PMP or equivalent, preferred.
