_ What Would You Do?_

This position is responsible for managing cash flow planning and cash disbursements for Palliser Furniture and it's related companies, and provide our banking partners with any related supporting documentation. This position also oversees the treasury functions for all bank accounts for Palliser Furniture, including daily and monthly bank reconciliations and all banking related entries. _
The key duties and responsibilities of this position would include:_

- _ Manage incoming and outgoing cash effectively on a daily basis._
- _ Oversee the daily banking entries for all bank accounts in AS400._
- _ Develop strategies to optimize cash position of the company._
- _ Collaborate with stakeholders at Palliser to determine upcoming cash requirements. _
- _Forecast daily cash position by utilizing cash receipts and disbursements._
- _ Maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast._
- _ Maintain integrity and accuracy in financial transactions and reports._
- _ Provide bank partners with borrowing base information as required._
- _ Follow standard procedures to improve efficiency in cash collections, funds transfers, cash disbursements, month-end account closing activities, and inter-departmental reporting._
- _ Update accounting database for daily financial transactions._
- _ Resolve any issues related to foreign currency exchange._
- _ Liaise with banks to address any account issues and queries._
- _ Work with logistics and production to assist in forecasting upcoming cash receipts and borrowing base availability. _
- _Develop financial reports to assist management in making appropriate decisions regarding debts and foreign exchange plans._
- _ Prepare letters of credit as required. _
- _Collaborate with peers, employees and other departments to identify and implement process improvements as related to the treasury functions. _
- _Maintain security and confidentiality of financial records._
- _ Provide backup and support to the treasury analyst._
- _ Review and approve cash disbursements. _
- _Develop professional knowledge on cash management processes and techniques._
- _ As role expands, future duties could include supporting special projects like variance analysis, and budgeting._

_ What Do You Bring?_
- _ Education at post-secondary level in an accounting or business degree._
- _ 5+ years of experience in treasury functions._
- _ Experience _dealing with cash and payments on an international basis is essential._
- _ Prior experience in leading and coaching staff. _
- _Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Excel._
- _ Exposure to AS400 is an asset. _
- _Strong analytical skills. _
- _Good written and oral skills. _
- _Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. _
- _Effective organization and time management skills (ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines). _
- _Ability to work well in a team environment and independently. _
