We're looking for a Kitchen Team Member to join our Healthy Planet family We provide our employees with a rewarding yet challenging environment where you can grow professionally.
The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Kitchen, preparing & serving food items, packaging & labeling products, delivering exceptional customer service, cashing out customers and assisting with minor productionsResponsibilities:
- Prepare and serve tasty recipes following recipe standards
- Consistently follow task lists and quality standards
- Label, package and handle product selection
- Receive and rotate products into inventory
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and ensure that all Health and Safety standards are met
- Ensure compliance of all food handling requirements and standards
- Communicate effectively with others regarding all aspects of menu planning, food preparation and execution
- Greet customers as they enter
- Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients
- Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
- Prepare beverages following recipes
- Serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries, muffins, pizza, salads, sandwiches, etc.
- Receive and process payments
- Keep the bar area clean
- Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates
- Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
- Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
- Perform other relevant tasks and duties assigned from timetotime
Must-Haves:
- Previous Kitchen Management experience
- Food Handler Certification is an asset
- Experience with kitchen equipment (knives, ovens, stoves, etc.)
- Familiar with sanitation and health and safety food regulations including proper handling of equipment
- Proficient budgeting skills and understanding
- Work well under pressure independently
- Proven leadership abilities
- Strong communication skills oral and written
- Excellent time management and organization skills
