    John's Anglican Church, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia is in search of a full-time Rector to help lead us in the journey to an engaged and invigorated parish.

    In 2018, we created a Shared Vision through a highly inclusive process under the umbrella of the vision statement ..

    "We are a Christ centered, caring community shaping our future, preserving our heritage and living our faith word and deed." We are located in the historic UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lunenburg on the Atlantic Coast of Canada.

    John's is the second oldest Protestant Church in Canada and has been a practicing community of faith since its founding in 1753.

    Our church buildings include our Parish Hall, Rectory and the Church which was designated a National Historic Site in 1995.

    Worship, Fellowship, Leadership, and Heritage 'Ship' are core values which we embrace.

    We are seeking a Rector who can work with the varied demographics of our parish bringing energy, diversity, and flexibility to our community of faith.

    We seek an applicant who is comfortable leading a variety of services from the Anglican repertoire including all Christian customs and approaches ministry with ecumenical inclusiveness.
