Investment Associate (Trade Execution Associate)

The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in White Rock is seeking an Investment Associate (Trade Execution Specialist) to join a successful Private Investment Management Team.

You will execute all portfolio trading and support the Portfolio Manager in keeping portfolio models up to date.

What will you do?:

Execute model portfolio changes (Trading Execution)
Exchange foreign currency when needed
Keeping models up to date on a weekly/monthly basis
Reviewing cash balances (debits & credits) for investment or debit coverage for discretionary and nondiscretionary accounts
Execute all other trading for team members. (i.e. post client review portfolio changes, monthly AFT & RIF payments, on off EFTs & bank wires)
Trade Execution only

Debit forecasting

Reviewing accounts to ensure cash balances for quarterly fees
Reviewing and maintaining Private Investment Management (PIM) Dashboard. Keeping client accounts on side with regards to their current Investment Policy Statement (IPS).
Reviewing and maintaining the MRGD reports for investment of funds (i.e. deposits, contributions, PACs).
Reviewing and executing on any reorg notices
Draw on your social media skills to update the team's communication channels, including websites, LinkedIn, Facebook, brochures, newsletters.

What do you need to succeed?:

Must-have:

Approval as an Investment Representative (IR) with IIROC
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong Microsoft Office skills

Nice-to-have:

4 years or more of professional experience within investment industry
Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem solving and analytical skills
Highlydeveloped technical skills
