Description
The Project Lead - IT Project Services supports Sheridan's various project initiatives.

The Portfolio Management Office (PMO) involves the management of over fifty projects, divided among four portfolios, that are essential to the success of advancing Sheridan's digital transformation.

The Project Lead is accountable for leading the technical component of project delivery for multiple projects under any of the portfolios.

What You'll be Doing

Delivering all aspects of a project in partnership with the Business Lead.

Creating and managing the project schedule, scope, costs, and resourcing.

Managing the project milestones including Initiation, Planning, Execution, and Closing.

Leading integration solutions with other Sheridan technology.

Responsible for ensuring proper unit testing, and integration testing has been achieved in preparation for UAT.

Scheduling UAT testing with the Business Lead to ensure appropriate time is scheduled to achieve business sign off.

Acting as the primary coordinator/facilitator for the project.

Communicating within the project team to capture, analyze and facilitate decision making and project execution.

Collaborating with the Business Lead managing issues and decisions in a timely manner, managing the RAID log.

Collecting project artifact documentation and providing status reports for management

Interacting with staff at all levels including senior clients such as managers, directors, and vice presidents

Chairing and facilitating meetings

Managing and negotiating deadlines

Managing clients' expectations and providing alternative solutions

Networking across large organizations to build trust and good working relationships

Delegating tasks to other junior staff and providing them with constructive feedback

Process analysis and process improvement

About You

Your research and analysis skills will help to facilitate the measurement, interpretation and presentation of information in the most impactful way.


You are an analytical thinker and have a knack for thinking critically about how processes flow and how to build systems.


You have sound understanding of project management principles and tools and have the ability to multi-task, prioritize, balance and manage multiple complex and competing demands.

3-year diploma/degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field along with 8 years related experience including: (Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience)

Extensive project management experience which includes implementing cloud solutions, and effective vendor management

Experience with mapping processes and performing present state, future state and gap analysis used for business performance improvement

Experience with workshop facilitation and training

Experience with conducting cost benefit analysis and business case and project charter development

Experience with structured systems design and development experience

Effective knowledge using Project Management tools like MS Project, Workfront, Jira.

Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with aggressive timelines and the associated pressure

Formal training in, project management or structured systems analysis and design, and relational database technologies is preferred.
