It will be Canada's first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant when it begins production at the Twin Oaks site in Windsor, Ontario. A Facilities Maintenance Planner is responsible for coordinating and scheduling maintenance activities for various systems and equipment within a facility, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance with safety standards. They collaborate with maintenance teams, manage work orders, and prioritize tasks to minimize downtime and enhance overall operational efficiency.

This person will be responsible for:

• Responsible for assisting in the management of equipment master data and technical information including blueprints and specifications
• Responsible for updating work order status in CMMS, documenting definition and estimates in CMMS, and maintaining the master data in CMMS
• Responsible for backlog management and communication with requestors
• Tours work sites and reviews work with requestor as needed
• Develop detailed work order packages, task lists and routes, estimating trade required, workforce, time, tools, special equipment, and materials needed
• Responsible for leading scheduling meetings, documenting and distribute schedules, and providing external communication to stakeholders
• Responsible for reviewing and requisitioning materials needed and assisting with spare parts management
• Assist with manpower planning and cost benefit analysis
• Assist in the control of maintenance costs
• Responsible for impacting equipment uptime
• Assist with contractor management and ensuring contractor work is completed in accordance with safety and QA standards
• Assist with safety training coordination internal/external
• May fill in for Maintenance Supervisor when absent
• Knowledgeable in the operation and maintenance of all facilities and process equipment including but not limited to: fire protection systems (sprinklers, pumps, storage tanks), mechanical equipment (chillers, air compressors, hot water boilers, hot oil boilers), HVAC equipment (BCU, FCU, DHU, AHU, RTU), process equipment (solvent recovery process, central electrolyte storage system, dust collectors, fume collector, scrap collector, activated carbon towers) and electrical equipment & power distribution from 30kV to 208V.
• Areas of responsibility include all facility-related equipment in the production building, assembly building and utility support buildings.
• Implement methodologies to improve operational effectiveness in compliance with regulatory codes and standards
• Create incident reports, safety alerts, and safety training as required
• Assist in effective spare parts management, parts orders, and organizational changes
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, PowerPoint) & AutoCAD
• Demonstrate problem solving methodology and breakdown management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance planning
• Minimum 5 years of experience in plant maintenance process
• Possess a Journeyman ticket (electrician or millwright license)
• Certified Engineering Technician/Technologist or Facilities Management Professional designation is an asset
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience an asset
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

Preferred Requirements:

• Experienced with operations and maintenance of HVAC systems, Dehumidification, Chillers, Air Compressors, Boilers, Pumps, Piping, power distribution etc.
• Experience in property and building maintenance, repairs, renovations and equipment modifications covering structural, electrical and mechanical systems
• Experience with CMMS programs and methodology
• Excellent communicator and interpersonal skills
• Resourceful and self-sufficient with strong time management skills and the ability to determine priorities
• Strong knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act and building codes with ability to read and understand drawings
