Description

Job purpose
Responsible for overseeing the investigated disputes between workers and coordinate grievance procedures to handle employee complaints and concerns.


Duties and Responsibilities
The associate's primary functions and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Oversee investigations and evaluate complaints or arguments to determine viability.
  • Assist in the scheduling or coordinate the details of grievance hearings or other meetings.
  • Monitor company or workforce adherence to labour legislation.
  • Advise the HR Director on matters related to the administration of contracts or employee discipline or grievance procedures.
  • Prepare and submit required governmental reports or forms related to labour relations matters, such as equal employment opportunity (EEO) forms or minority compensation reports.
  • Review and advice the HR Director on employee disciplinary actions, such as written reprimands, suspensions, or terminations.
  • Develop methods to monitor employee satisfaction with policies or working conditions, including grievance or complaint procedures.
  • Manage the suggestion and the communication of the feedback.
  • Train managers or supervisors on topics related to labor relations, such as working conditions, safety, or equal opportunity practices.
  • Monitor the action plans and communicate back to employees.
  • Act with integrity and protect sensitive data confidentiality.
  • Responsible for daily management and support for the team to achieve operational success.
  • Monitor time and attendance and ensure compliance with Company Procedures.
  • Approve the vacation requests.
  • Carry out incident, accident and nonconformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure.
  • Issue disciplinary action when needed.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
  • Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
  • Must follow ood anufacturing ractices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as training manager or similar role.
  • Degree in Human Resource, Labour Relations, or Conflict Resolution.
  • Knowledge of the Labour Relations Act, the negotiating process, applicable sections of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Employment Standards Act, related statutes and case law.
  • Understanding of Labour Relations Board procedures and processes
  • Ability to gain and maintain the respect and confidence of parties in an oftenhostile atmosphere.
  • Skilled in problem solving and able to develop innovative approaches to complex labour relations or employment issues.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Capability to produce reports and presentations for senior leadership when needed.
  • Pay close attention to details.
  • Strong oral and written communication.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
