R&D Testing Manager
The Testing Manager is responsible for overseeing the testing processes and activities with new products, solutions, or technologies. The role involves ensuring the quality, reliability and performance of the developed products through various testing methodologies.
Experience

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Building Science, Architectural or Civil Technology, Mechanical Engineering, and/or Construction Management;
Minimum 510 years of working experience;
Familiarity with Glass/Window Wall Systems.

Senior Level

Manage and lead every aspect of various R&D/Special Projects projects (products/systems/components) with both internal and external stakeholders;
Ability to navigate a multilocation business operation to search/look/execute required tasks;
Detail oriented and ability to read architectural drawings;
Ability to make/justify sensitive decisions;
Familiar with NAFS/CSA-A440 and OBC testing requirements;
Lead the projects effectively by following company standards and protocols without supervision;
Basic understanding of AutoCAD and how to use it; and
Demonstrate State's core values and work in a team environment.

Job Specific Duties

Focus on continuous improvements and maximizing productivity by reducing waste and inefficiencies;
Initiate conversations with suppliers and execute the delivery of required material/product samples for projects;
Follow up with new suppliers on material samples for client approval;
Ability to develop new processes/procedures to perform tasks/operations in an efficient standardized way;
Understanding of various manual/automated manufacturing/fabricating processes;
Comfortable/able to work across numerous different departments to help expedite development of details and required to launch specific project(s);
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including developers and product managers, to understand project requirements; and
Translate requirements into test cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and non functional reports.
