Flair Airlines is currently seeking a permanent full-time
Regulatory and Customer Affairs Coordinator to join our growing and ever-changing organization.


The Regulatory and Customer Affairs Coordinator will be a remote position where the applicant can be based anywhere in Canada with some travel required to the head office in Edmonton, AB (YEG) or other company offices as required.


Primary Job Functions:


The Regulatory and Customer Affairs Coordinator provides administrative and research support to the Regulatory and Customer Affairs team, thereby helping to ensure that accurate responses are provided to complaints within the required deadlines.

The role also provides analytical support through the development of appropriate reporting strategies.


Primary Job Functions:


  • Assists the Regulatory Relations Manager in conducting thorough research into the cause of flight delays and cancellations.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory filings, including CTA claims, DOT claims, Better Business Bureau, and tariffs.
  • Maintain a database of regulatory information and ensure it is uptodate and accurate.
  • Participate in internal and external audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Manage and maintain regulatory databases.
  • Prepare reports and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of regulatory processes and procedures.
  • Work closely with the special cares team to ensure consistent and effective support.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provides support for internal stakeholders, such as Flair Airlines' Legal team, in researching passengers' flight experiences.
  • Assists the Regulatory and Customer Affairs Manager in ensuring deadlines for responses are adhered to.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned at any time.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Regulatory Affairs, Compliance) is preferred
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Regulatory Affairs, Office Administration, or a related discipline is preferred

Required Competencies:


  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and processes
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Thorough understanding of legislative requirements as they impact Air Passenger Rights
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Strong research and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with an emphasis on critical thinking
  • Adept at managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fastpaced environment, while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and effective time management
  • Airline experience would be an asset
