    About the Company

    The Role


    We are searching for a highly motivated Safety Coordinator to lead in safety on a major 12-month project (with potential for extension). You will promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all safety regulations. This is a fast-paced role requiring excellent communication and a proactive approach.

    Responsibilities


    1. Implement and promote the company's safety program and culture on-site.
    2. Deliver safety orientations to all project personnel.
    3. Conduct regular safety inspections and hazard assessments.
    4. Develop, implement, and communicate safe work plans and procedures.
    5. Investigate safety incidents and document findings.
    6. Maintain safety documentation and communication boards.
    7. Facilitate safety committee meetings.
    8. Act as a liaison between workers, management, clients, and visitors regarding safety.
    9. Provide administrative support to the Senior Safety Manager.

    Qualifications

    • Experience in a construction environment is preferred.
    • WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) and Working at Heights certifications are a plus.
    • Excellent public speaking and communication skills.
    • Strong analytical and reporting abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • A passion for safety and a commitment to continuous learning.
