Monday - Saturday from 10PM to 7AM


Job Summary
The Quality Control Inspector will provide assistance in all quality control related functions for the Fresh Cut Department. In this role, the QC Inspector will assist, monitor, and implement QC programs. The incumbent must be highly organized and possess adequate knowledge of QC process and specifications.


Job Duties

  • Assist in monitoring and updating existing HACCP, SOP, AND QC programs, procedures, and document control programs
  • Maintain calibration of quality control equipment
  • Monitor quality assurance program to ensure processing activities are in compliance with GMP's, SOP's, and HACCP
  • Implement quality assurance programs that effectively monitor product manufacturing in compliance with GMP's, SOP's, and HACCP
  • Perform analytical tests, inspections, and monitoring of incoming raw materials/packaging and finished goods for specification compliance and traceability
  • Assist in sanitation verification of equipment and documentation
  • Prepare samples for sending to lab and for calibration as per schedule


  • Manage Microbiological testing

  • Environmental and ATP on equipment and product
  • Maintain a "floor presence" as an auditor of quality throughout the processing and storage facility
  • Ensure maintenance and sanitation of the facility is in compliance with food safety requirements
  • Collaborates with colleagues in Operations and Quality functions to continually improve capability and process.
  • Assist in management of Hold and Rejects of raw and finished products
  • Make decisions concerning product quality, including shutting down line when processes do not conform to specifications
  • Provide feedback on current SOP's and documents for review or updates
  • Coach production staff from time to time
  • Monitoring manufacturing operations and ensuring they run smoothly
  • Testing a set percentage of products per established standards for the company and the industry to ensure that they meet production standards
  • Reporting and communicate any product or process related defects or problems for corrective actions. Assist in root cause investigations and report writing
  • Updating testing protocols and standards to increase safety and efficiency

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of science preferred but not required
  • 23 years working experience in quality assurance
  • Working knowledge of basic lab equipment
  • Must be able to follow written procedures and complete assigned documentation
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
  • Team Player with excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Word, Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information

Salary:
$22.00-$24.00 per hour
