Position Title:
Group Collections and Commissions Specialist


Reports To:
Manager, Group Collections and Commissions


Department:
Group Finance


Term: 12 month contract


Work Arrangements:

We are currently working remotely, and we will be moving to a hybrid model when our office renovation is complete (approximately September 2023), coming into the office a minimum of 2 days per week, every other week on designated days.


The Opportunity:
The Specialist is responsible for completing Group Collection and Group Commission activities.

We are a busy team, so multi-tasking, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail are a must along with your focus on efficiency.

What you will be doing:


  • Various Premium Collection and Advisor Payout Tasks, including:
  • Incoming payment processing
  • Billing
  • Processing transactions on our administration system
  • Working with various departments and resolving customer inquiries
  • Contribute to bank and premium reconciliations
  • Advisor payout processing
  • Supporting workload management for overall Group Collections and Commissions team

What you will bring:


  • Self motivated and strives for continuous improvement
  • Post secondary education
  • Minimum 2 years of collections and commissions processing related insurance industry experience
  • Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to prepare MS Excel based numeric reconciliations and Pivots
