By partnering with some of the most prestigious Landscape Architecture firms in North America, we bring brilliant playground concepts to life.

Our award-winning design-build firm is located just outside of Elmira, Ontario in Waterloo Region.

Currently, we are looking for a
Field Operations Manager to join our growing team.

The role of this team member is best suited to an individual with strong leadership skills, who is able to assist in training and scheduling local crews.

The successful applicant also has strong project management experience, and will be responsible for coordinating crews, subcontractors, travel, permits, tools and equipment, and determining site access and craning requirements for multiple crews.

Ultimately, you will be responsible for ensuring that our playgrounds are installed correctly, in consultation with our fabrication and engineering teams.

The successful applicant needs to be comfortable working outside the box; our playgrounds are unlike most custom construction.

The Job:


  • Provide ongoing leadership, training and development to our local playground installation crews in Kitchener/Waterloo and Toronto, ON;
  • Schedule multiple crews and juggle labour as required, including allocation of Winter work for crew members working throughout the year;
  • Act as the project management for site work, including scheduling and coordinating subcontractors, determining site access and craning requirements,
  • Assume financial oversight and management of site estimates, site invoice approvals in consultation with estimation team and controller;
  • Procure necessary tools, equipment and machines for site projects, working with fleet manager for maintenance and repairs;
  • Liaise with fabrication leadership for crews to fabricate childcare play equipment;
  • Collaborate with senior management and support the planning and execution of departmental workflows, accountabilities, and goals for installation crews on daily and weekly basis;
  • Support in seasonal recruitment activities in consultation with recruiter;
  • Ensure highest standards of health and safety across all sites are adhered to;
  • Participate in the growth of the business in keeping with the company culture, values and longterm strategy.
  • 5+ years of experience in custom construction, landscaping, manufacturing or similar industry;
  • 5+ years of experience in leadership or supervisory experience, working and leading crossfunctionally while assuming a position of accountability;
  • Have 5+ years of experience across a broad range of landscaping construction site work, including concrete, carpentry, site layout, site grading;
  • Experience reading and interpreting scaled construction drawings and installation instructions;
  • Strong communication skills, with the proven ability to communicate with diverse audiences;
  • Excellent computer skills, with experience in MSOffice & Google Suite;
  • Thrive in a busy work environment and act as a stabilizing force when pressure rises;
  • Are willing to travel to install sites across Canada/US;
  • Proficient with construction machinery, tools and equipment;
  • A growth mindset, and eagerness to learn from your mistakes;
  • A minimum G class license.
