NOTE:
This is a temporary position ending on or before May 2025 with the possibility of extension.

***Assessment Services offers assessment invigilation services for NAIT faculty and students, as well as external clients. Internally, we assist program areas at NAIT, and administer and invigilate both paper-based, and online assessments. Assessments include but are not limited to accommodated exams, deferred exams, distance delivery exams, and NAIT Placement and Equivalency Tests.

For our external clients, we administer and proctor assessments that range from low
- to high-stakes, both inside of our Centre, and at various room locations across main campus.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate the unit's operational hours to balance coverage and other essential work.
  • Liaise and collaborate between units, academic areas, and other service areas.
  • Oversight and supervision of IELTS testing.
  • Oversight and supervision of assessments for accessibility services.
  • Provide training and developmental activities for Assessment Services staff.
  • Monitor and coach staff in service delivery and performance.
  • Oversight and supervision of all other assessment related activities in the centre.
  • Identify, recommend, and/or implement policy and process improvements.
  • Handle escalations related to assessment activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all testing protocols and policies, including British Council IELTS testing.
  • Create budget summaries and track all operating expenditures.

Qualifications:


  • Related postsecondary diploma
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Education an asset
  • Extensive (minimum of 5 years) related experience
  • 3+ years experience working in a postsecondary environment
  • Supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of IELTS testing and associated procedures is an asset.
  • Equivalencies may be considered

Remuneration:
$ 67, $91,093.60 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (AUPE Classification - Coordinator II)

  • This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement._
