Job Description - Cargo Van Delivery Driver - Timmins


Job Summary:

  • Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers.
  • Physically demanding to complete assigned parcels/ Packages within 8 hours of delivery.
  • Load and unload products from the vehicle.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of packages per requirement.
  • Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the company.
  • Assure that the mail is protected from theft, weather & and other damages
  • You will perform vehicle safety checks, complete documentation, and maintain records
  • Ensure to drive cargo van in heavily congested area
  • Ensure to communicate with the Dispatchers regarding any issues, etc.

Requirements:


  • Punctuality and reliable attendance are a requirement for this role
  • Clean criminal background check
  • Clean driver's abstract
  • Valid G class license
  • Fulltime with weekend flexibility
  • Good communication skills
  • 2 of the Government Identification and 5 Years of Residential History

Salary:
From $17.00 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • Every Weekend
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Education:


  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

- cargo van driving: 2 years (preferred)
- delivery driving: 3 years (required)


Language:


  • English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Class G Licence (required)
