In collaboration with our various departments and five Nations, we provide multi-service delivery to support a thriving, healthy, and self-reliant future for Cree and Dene people.

ATC's Child and Family Services department is seeking self-motivated, professional individual to fill a vacant Intervention (Casework) Supervisor role.

This individual will be responsible for leading a team of Intervention Services staff, ensuring a high delivery of service to our clients and communities, completing administrative and reporting requirements, and ensures all services provided are in compliance with Provincial standards, regulations and the Alberta Child, Youth and Family Enhancements Act.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver leadership, training, support, and direction to casework staff to deliver quality services under the Child, Youth, and Family Enhancement Act.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of casework staff and assist with caseloads if required.
  • Work with other various government and community agencies.
  • Provide regular formal supervision and ongoing case consultation to intervention staff.
  • Oncall work as required.
  • Review and monitor expenses and budgets.
  • Maintain statistics and provide reports on a regular basis.
  • Participate in the recruitment, orientation, and training of new employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor of Social Work degree or related field is required. An equivalent of education and experience from a related human services field may be considered.
  • Minimum two (2) year's experience working in child intervention in a supervisory capacity.
  • Currently delegated or the ability to be delegated in the province of Alberta.
  • Registered with the Alberta College of Social Workers or ability to be registered.
  • Knowledge and experience using CICIO is considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of the Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Act as well as other regulations as applicable to the protection of children and families.
  • Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Intervention Record Check.
  • Valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle.
