Summary:


WRE is looking for a Field Service Coordinator to join our team. This position is responsible for the coordination and management of service timelines and deliverables. This will include the creation of detailed work plans which identify and sequence the activities needed to successfully complete jobs, determining the resources required and developing schedules for service completion. Working closely with the General Manager, you will act as a key resource to customers and the Field Service Technicians to coordinate the flow of information relating to service requests.

Responsibilities:


  • Administers a profitable field service program, including pricing, promotion and selling of service time and maintenance contracts.
  • Ensures contract compliance and timelines are met.
  • Coordination and participation of site visits and safety meetings.
  • Build and maintain trusted working relationships with customers.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately.
  • Suggest areas of improvement in internal planning processes along with possible solutions.
  • Proactively address customer enquiries, resolve issues and obtain customer feedback.
  • Identify the necessary staff, integrating subcontractors and peers from supporting services in order to have sufficient resources to achieve service objectives.
  • Coordinate with the Proposal Coordinator the scheduling of personnel to assure best service coverage.
  • Prepare detailed quotes.
  • Actively participate in maintaining an effective Quality Management System.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of qualified and trained staff of personnel, tools and equipment to effectively execute service requirements.
  • Be knowledgeable and compliant to applicable standards and legislation.
  • Assist in the development of programs to improve employees technical and customer service skills.
  • Ensure the coordination of necessary equipment calibration.
  • Evaluate successes and opportunities for improvement in field services provided.
  • Working with the GM and Proposal Coordinator on project research, supplier communications and follow through with site safety requirements.
  • Working with the GM and Proposal Coordinator to identify and mitigate risks associated with project execution.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction through responsible quality and health & safety processes.

Qualifications:


  • Electrical trade certification and Electrical Engineering diploma is an asset.
  • 3+ years field experience is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience working in the electric power sector is ideal.

Or an acceptable combination of education and experience.

  • Valid class 5 BC driver's license.
  • Knowledge of Canadian electrical standards, HV substations, MV and LV distribution systems and large electrical systems, including power, protection and control systems is an asset.
  • Ability to perform in an environment with changing priorities and direction often under time constraints.
  • Highly motivated and selfdirected individual capable of multitasking, with mínimal supervision
  • Strong work ethic and a positive team attitude is a must.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
  • Sound analytical thinking, problem solving, planning, prioritization, time management and execution skills.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise necessary cost control measures.
  • Willing to travel if needed.
  • Effective leadership skills in order to ensure employee engagement, a positive work environment and identify and remove obstacles for the team.
