About This Role
Reporting to the Medical Director, the Medical Operations Coordinator is responsible for providing operational and administrative support to the Medical Affairs team.
What You'll Do
- Support and provide documentation for Medical Affairs teams using relevant Biogen systems for
- Grants and Sponsorships
- External Stakeholder Engagements
- Contracting
- Materials Review (promotional and nonpromotional)
- Finance
- Medical Research (e.g IITs, SRAs, etc.)
- Administrative support for Medical Director, the General Manager, or other senior leaders, as required:
- calendar management
- expense reimbursement
- meeting catering, room set-up/take down
- taking meeting minutes
- following up with team members on status updates and action items
- preparing documents/presentations/spreadsheets
- Provide logístical support for internal/external Medical Affairs and Country Leadership Team meetings
- Provide logístical support for congress activities (planning meetings, collection briefs, etc.)
- Archive data and documents in compliance with Biogen SOPs
- Provide back up for other coordinators and administrative personnel, when required.
- Other duties as required.
Who You Are
You are passionate about making a difference and have demonstrated capability for interdisciplinary/team work as well as ability to work independently and productively.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 23 years of experience in similar position
- University degree strongly preferred
- Proficient computer skills with the Microsoft suite of products, primarily Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to multitask and work with competing priorities without losing the detail
- Strong detail orientation and problemsolving capabilities
- Excellent organizational, analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of compliance framework for Medical Affairs (e.g. OLAs, accredited education, unsolicited sponsorships, etc.).
- Organization and rigor in project management
- Experience with customer event management and conference coordination considered an asset
- Fluent in spoken and written English. Fluency in French is considered an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated capability for interdisciplinary/team work as well as ability to work
- Discretion and autonomy
- Flexibility and responsiveness
Work Location Designation for Role:
- Office based.
