Jr.
Jr. Mechanical Project Estimator will provide support by producing complete materials and labour estimates for projects.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Review project drawings and specifications with the intent to comprehend the mechanical scope of each project clearly and comprehensively.
- Identify and finish incomplete hydronic and plumbing piping scope on mechanical drawings.
- Utilize onscreen takeoff software to create a comprehensive materials and labour estimate.
- Maintain an estimating database.
- Prepare estimating data reports.
- Performs other duties as required.
Job requirements:
- Strong knowledge of plumbing and hydronic design, industry equipment and systems.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar estimating role.
- Formal education in mechanical design or engineering is an asset.
- Previous experience as a Red Seal Plumber is an asset.
- Proficiency in construction software specifically Quotesoft, BlueBeam and Revisto is a strong asset.
- Knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD are required.
- Knowledge and proficiency with Revit are strong assets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) is required.
- Previous experience with Procore is an asset.
