JOB OVERVIEW

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

General Duties

  • Serve as the central point of contact for estimating inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses to all questions and requests.
  • Assist in completing customer vendor questionnaires, providing necessary information and documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain excellent levels of communication with clients throughout the sales process, keeping them informed about project progress, changes, and timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to assist in creating comprehensive proposals and project estimates.
  • Utilize your expertise in project costing to track and analyze project costs, identifying every expense associated with a project.
  • Interpret customer specifications and requirements to develop accurate and detailed project estimates.
  • Prepare quotations for potential clients, including detailed pricing breakdowns, specifications, project scope, and timelines.
  • Input and manage data related to quotations, sales orders and installation contracts in the company's database.
  • Collaborate with upper management to present cost analysis, project budgets, and feasibility reports.
  • Play a pivotal role in managing key house accounts, fostering strong client relationships, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Work closely with production and procurement teams to align project estimates with available resources and capabilities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, product offerings, and pricing structures to ensure accurate and competitive quotations.
  • Responsible for office merchandise inventory and ordering when needed.

QUALIFICATION _
MUST _
HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the kitchen cabinet manufacturing or construction industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to accurately estimate project costs and budgets.
  • Proficiency in Excel will be an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients, sales teams, and upper management.
  • Proficiency in using project estimation and database software.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments.
  • Knowledge of kitchen cabinet materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards is a plus.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

  • Saanichton, BC V8M 2A5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

Kitchen Cabinet: 1 year (preferred)

  • Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
  • Estimator: 2 years (preferred)
