Who we need:
We have launched a two-year Project Management graduate program with three annual intakes. This is an exciting initiative that will rapidly scale and provide continuous growth opportunities.

Project Management plays a crucial role in connecting students with the dynamic landscape of the industry.

Operating within the Project Management Program team in
Mississauga, ON (5110 Creekbank Rd.), this position is dedicated to enhancing the students' understanding of the industry, fostering relationships with potential employers, and ultimately elevating the program's profile in the market.

By initiating internal industry discovery initiatives and engaging in proactive industry outreach, the Industry Liaison strives to bridge the gap between academic studies and the professional world, thus empowering graduates to enter the workforce with confidence.


What you will do:

  • Provide expert guidance to current project management students, offering insights into the nuances and evolving trends within the project management industry.
  • Facilitate interactions between students and faculty embedded in the industry and other industry professionals through events, workshops, and networking opportunities to enhance students' exposure to realworld scenarios.
  • Gather feedback from industry partners, students, and faculty to continually improve the program and its alignment with industry expectations.
  • Lead initiatives to explore and understand the internal workings of the project management industry, ensuring uptodate knowledge that can be shared with students.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, including potential employers, to create a network that benefits both students and the program.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to discover student placement opportunities, providing students with practical experience and increasing their employability.
  • Collaboratively establish metrics for industry initiatives, outreach programs, and student engagement. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of various activities.
  • Regularly report on established metrics, providing insights into the success and areas for improvement of industryrelated initiatives. Present findings to the Project Management Program team and stakeholders.
  • Utilize metrics and feedback to iteratively improve industryrelated strategies, ensuring alignment with the program's goals and objectives.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field. PMP designation is highly preferred. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in project management, with a minimum 5 years in a relevant industry liaison or outreach role. Familiarity with academic settings and program development is advantageous.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Relationship building ex[ertise with the ability to collaborate with colleagues, maintain strong connections with employers, and establish industry partnerships.
  • Organized, goal oriented, with strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive and selfmotivated, with the ability to independently drive industry initiatives and outreach efforts.
  • Passionate about supporting education, career growth, and students.
