Description
The Biologics Manufacturing Centre (BMC) Inc. is a new 54,900 square feet biomanufacturing facility whose construction was completed in June 2021.

The BMC, a not-for-profit organization, supports the expansion of Canada's biologics manufacturing capacity, ensuring that vaccines and other related products can be safely manufactured at home.

BMC is designed to produce biopharmaceuticals such as viral vector, protein subunit and virus-like particle vaccines and other biologics.

Maintenance Coordinator
***who will support the maintenance department to ensure maintenance activities are performed in accordance with the pre-established schedule and the organization's requirements.
Under the supervision of the Supervisor, Maintenance, the
-
Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Communicate the maintenance plans and monitor their execution;
  • Coordinate the presence of external vendors on site;
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to help resolve ongoing and long term issues;
  • Ensure detailed maintenance schedules are met and participate in the establishment of shutdown schedules;
  • Identify and develop continuous improvement opportunities to support company goals and objectives with a focus on reliability and maintenance excellence;
  • Manage maintenance spare parts inventory;
  • Participate in the writing and review of standard operating procedures (SOP) and work instructions (WI);
  • Assist in creating change control requests and in documenting incident reports and investigations.

You are the person we are looking for if:

  • You hold a university diploma in engineering in an appropriate discipline (chemical, mechanical or equivalent). A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered;
  • You have at least two (2) years of experience in a maintenance service in a GMP pharmaceutical environment or equivalent;
  • You have experience working with an electronic maintenance management system (CMMS) and with a building automation system (BAS) and you are comfortable with quality systems and GMP documentation;
  • Experience in the biomanufacturing sector or in a sterile/aseptic environment is an asset;
  • You are customer oriented, have good communication skills in French and English, ability to work independently, a good collaboration spirit and a strong sense of organization and priority management;
  • Flexible schedule and overtime may be occasionally required including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
