The Commercial Lines Underwriting Department has significant influence and leadership in the Vice President's strategy.

It is at the heart of the decisions and ensures that specialized insurance expertise is brought to bear on various initiatives.

Several squads have been put in place to support the various initiatives and significant interaction with them is expected.


The Business Analyst role on the team requires a strong sense of autonomy, organization and leadership as the individual will be encouraged to deliver end-to-end industry initiatives in collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain visibility with senior management, learn to maneuver within the governance structure and benefit from expert knowledge to develop a sound understanding of insurance.

As a Business Analyst in Business Strategy, you will contribute to the definition and development of the underwriting strategy of the Commercial Lines division, to the identification of opportunities to improve our service offering, and to the design and delivery of business strategies and solutions in line with the business architecture of the various projects or within the framework of transformations and evolution with the squads in place.


Your role consists of analyzing the context and the business needs of the organization within the framework of files or projects with the collaboration of the team's experts.

You formalize the business objectives and their value for the organization.

You will participate in the identification, clarification of the scope, evaluation and recommendation of business solutions and will make presentations to senior management in accordance with the appropriate governance.

You will analyze the impact of solutions on the organization and ensure their integration, from the definition of needs to deployment in collaboration with the squads.

The nature of the files and projects requires global knowledge in your field.


You bring ideas and contribute to the resolution of problems through analysis and your global knowledge of the business domain.

There are frequent linkages. You are called upon to interact with various stakeholders working in complementary and often technical fields of expertise. Interpersonal skills and the ability to balance the interests of multiple parties are essential. You act as a reference and resource person for your unit, work teams and dedicated clientele.

Other working conditions- Workplace : Position located in Lévis or Montreal, depending on the applicant selected. The work arrangement for the position is hybrid work- Number of jobs available : 1


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered- For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required
