Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Lead snow team, and direct crew members in deicing and snow removal tasks.
  • Responsible for removing snow and ice from designated areas, such as parking lots, sidewalks, driveways, and roadways. This can involve the use of snowplows, snow blowers, shovels, and salt or deicing agents.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections of snow removal equipment to ensure it operates safely and effectively.
  • Ensure that all snow removal activities are conducted safely, including the proper use of safety gear and equipment.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, property owners, or managers to provide updates on snow removal progress and any problems that may arise.
  • Operate heavy machinery such as snowplows, frontend loaders, or snowblowers proficiently and safely.
  • Be prepared to respond to emergency situations, such as heavy snowfall during the night, to ensure safety and accessibility.

Qualifications

  • 1year experience as a snow removal crew lead
  • Must possess a cellphone with data


  • From November

  • April, must be available on short notice and oncall depending on weather conditions and storms
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Familiarity with sidewalk tractors
  • Proficiency in operating snow removal equipment safely
  • Experience being a supervisor and managing a team preferred
  • Good customer service skills are essential to handle inquiries and requests professionally.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Reliability and the ability to respond to emergencies or work during irregular hours, such as nights and weekends, may be required.
