Reporting to the Team Lead, the Continuous Improvement Coordinator will be responsible for identifying and implementing process enhancements within Aecon Utilities.

This includes analyzing workflows, suggesting improvements, facilitating changes, monitoring progress, and collaborating with teams to drive efficiency and effectiveness.


What You'll Do Here:


  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify areas for process improvement and efficiency enhancement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline operations and optimize workflows.
  • Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to drive process improvements.
  • Lead process improvement projects, set goals, track progress, and ensure successful implementation.
  • Train and educate team members on continuous improvement principles and practices.
  • Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of process enhancements.
  • Regularly report on improvement initiatives and their impact to management.
  • Observe and report deviations from standard operating procedures.
  • Determine root causes for deviations and perform impact analyses.
  • Work with management to develop solutions and provide valueadded services for Utilities' dynamic operational environment.
  • Encourage collaboration and communication between business segments and managers to ensure achievement of company goals.

What You Bring To The Team:

  • Sound computer skills
  • MS Excel, MS Word, SAP, SharePoint, Power Apps and Power BI.
  • Proven experience in process improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, or related methodologies
  • PMP designation is an asset
  • 35 years of experience in a project management role is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the confidence and ability to work with all levels of staff and management within a large organization.
  • Selfmotivated with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, accurately and under pressure. Ability to see a task from conception to implementation.
  • Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to Inspire and foster an environment of cooperation between different departments and coworkers.
  • Experience in the utilities industry an asset
  • Availability to travel between all Utilities yards.
