- Leading the estimating team efficiently and effectively, mentoring and training junior members
- Demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills
- Allocating team resources based on project and company requirements
- Exhibiting resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
- Building strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and user groups that align with Prodigy's core values
- Researching historical tendering data and construction industry cost trends
- Managing bid invitations, project sites visits, and bid submissions
- Preparing detailed construction cost estimates and bid documentation
- Coordinating with various parties involved in the bid process
- A University Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) is preferred
- CEC certification through the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveying is an asset
- Over 15 years of relevant estimating experience in the Construction Industry
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, MS Project, Bluebeam, ProCore, and related estimating software
- Local experience in estimating interior renovation/fit-out and ground-up commercial construction
- In-depth knowledge of construction documents, contracts, health, safety regulations, and building codes
- The position is primarily based at our head office with occasional site visits.

As a Chief Estimator, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing the Estimating team, utilizing extensive local industry-based expertise. Your responsibilities will include providing unique insights into competitive bidding, creating and reviewing budgets/estimates/quotes/bids in detail, and helping Prodigy secure project opportunities across various sectors.
