Description
Barber Collins security is looking for a Security Guard willing to commute to Cambridge, ON.


Shifts
*_Shifts will have a mandatory 2-week rotation_


Week 1 (41 hours):


  • Friday from 6 pm to 2 am
  • Saturday from 6 pm to 2 am
  • Monday from 9 pm to 7 am
  • Tuesday from 11 pm to 7 am

Week 2 (29 hours):


  • Friday from 9 pm to 7 am
  • Monday from 1 am to 7 am
  • Tuesday from 9 pm to 7 am
  • Thursday from 9 pm to 7 am

Responsibilities:


  • Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
  • Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
  • Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
  • Access control for the facility/area.
  • Ensuring that the facility's safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies.
  • Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decisionmaking ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.

Skills:


  • Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.
  • Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field.
  • Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
  • Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
  • Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
  • Integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones.
  • Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$18.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Evening shift
  • Every Weekend
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift
