Bienenstock Natural Playgrounds was established in 2005 in Dundas, Ontario.

Since its inception, our company has experienced rapid growth, touting a current roster of over 50 employees across North America.

Our expertise ranges from optimal child development and sustainable sourcing practices to creating play spaces that comply with the CSA and ASTM playground standard and that exceed the AODA for accessibility.


Job description


We are looking for an experienced
Landscape Construction Foreperson who will be responsible for leading the build and installation of natural playground components for various clients in public and private settings.

The Landscape Construction Foreperson will assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, executing, and documenting the builds.


If you have the following qualifications then this job is for you:

  • At least five years experience in the landscaping industry
  • At least two years experience as a foreman
  • At least five years experience operating equipment (Mini-Ex, Skid Steers etc)
  • Expert job site organization
  • Workflow planning
  • Ability to lift at least 50lbs
  • Ability to travel occasionally up to 3 weeks.
  • Ability to work Saturdays when needed
  • Valid G license
  • Clean Driver's abstract

Preference will be given to anyone with one of the following attributes, or more:

  • You have examples of superb organization ability and meticulous attention to detail
  • You excel in project scheduling and planning
  • You have experience working with a chainsaw
  • You can confidently read blueprints and site plans
  • You have obtained a valid AR license

Daily Tasks

  • Follow and enforce health and safety policies
  • Report into Operations management who may not be local
  • Prioritizing tasks, managing timelines, and budgets
  • Scheduling and delegating tasks as well as motivating and disciplining crew
  • Ordering materials from vendors and scheduling material dropoffs
  • Using machinery and power tools to build playground components
  • Working in a team environment and meeting installation deadlines
