Company Overview:
Chef Helpers are the right hand of the event chef and cooks:
- Unload food and equipment from trucks on site.
- Help with food prep. Washing, peeling, cutting/slicing vegetables and fruits.
- Ensure all stations, kitchen surfaces are cleaned and sanitized before, during and after each service.
- Ensure there is all utensils needed as per service such as tongs, serving spoons, cutting boards etc. for each station.
- Taking out the garbage and replacing garbage bags.
- Mopping and sweeping the kitchen.
- Washing, drying, and putting away all dishes and kitchen utensils.
- Packing takeout orders for customers.
- Clearing and cleaning tables for Waitstaff when necessary.
- Refilling condiments or other supplies at tables.
Requirement:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Bring your own tolls for work.
- A food handler's license would be nice but not required.
- Some knowledge of food health and safety regulations is advantageous.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Time management.
Procedure:
- Be on time to location as specified, call if late or cannot be there.
- Come prepared to work, proper uniform which must be clean, hair up and once around food, must have hair net on and gloves.
- Work clean and fast.
- Follow your chef's instructions and lead.
- Greet guests with courtesy and a smile.
- Make sure to prepare food second Parlato's events food Guideline Procedures.
