Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure that lift trucks are maintained in safe, clean running condition.
  • Ensure the safe operation of lift trucks in the shipping/receiving area.
  • Ensure that all receipts and returnable bins are received in good order and are moved to proper locations, in FIFO order.
  • Clean and maintain returnable bins as required.
  • Ensure that all product is handled, moved and, stored in such a way as to prevent product damage or deterioration.
  • Interface with planner, receiving inspector, and production supervision to ensure that all functions are aware of the status of expedited products received and required by production.
  • Ensure that all receipts match packing lists and purchase order and are damage free before receiving.
  • Advise planner of all delivery problems (i.e. late or short shipments, etc.) as per daily P7R report
  • Perform other related duties as instructed by shipping supervisor and/or management.
Minimum Qualifications
1. 2 years related experience as a shipper/receiver or material handler.

  • Successful completion of lift truck safety course.
  • Secondary school diploma.

  • Knowledge of related policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of key Quality & Environmental Management Systems procedures related to job function.
  • Knowledge of lift truck safety.
  • Forms, Labels, and Tags governing job function.
