Skilled Carpentry Apprentices/Laborers to join our growing construction team.
Travel:

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment while performing tasks.
- Willingness to actively comply with all safety practices, policies, and procedures.
- Load and unload materials and construction waste
- Organize and inventory materials
- Work with hand and power tools
- Measure and cut materials effectively
- Train or apprentice under ticketed tradespeople and supervisors
- Assist and support carpenters/cooling tower technicians
- Lead and control housekeeping on work sites
- Effectively take direction and guidance
- Actively participate in morning toolbox and weekly safety meetings
- Good knowledge of construction materials, tools and machinery used
- Work with or without close supervision
- Complete other duties as assigned and required

Must be able to pass drug and alcohol tests:
Must be able to work at heights:- Commitment to safety and following safe work practices
- Must be a dedicated team player
- Possess spatial recognition skills
- Knowledge of various tools and equipment
- Ability to problem solve, prioritize tasks and work independently
- Ability to engage in physical labor on a daily basis
- Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- Willingness to learn
- Must be able and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform manual labor
- Must be able and willing to travel and work out of town for extended periods when required
- Ability to work a flexible shift schedule if necessary
Qualifications
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License with clean abstract is considered an asset
- Any industrial construction experience is an asset
CSTS, fall protection, confined space entry, H2S Alive and Elevated work platform tickets are considered assets:
- Grade 12 or GED equivalent is considered an asset
- Pay will based on experience and performance on the job

- carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
