The Parts Counter Person is responsible for developing ongoing and long-term relationships with clients. As a team player, the Parts Consultant strives to develop collaborative relationships throughout the dealership.


Responsibilities

  • Efficiently help customers select parts and provide internal and external customers (retail and shop) with highquality service
  • Answer telephone calls, provide price quotes with any other information needed
  • Take orders for parts by telephone, technician counter, retail counter and wholesale accounts
  • Receive payments from retail customers
  • Handle customer concerns immediately and according to the dealership's guidelines.
  • Stock items by unpacking, arranging, and placing items in bins and on shelves; adjust inventory system and assuring all safety risks
  • Other duties as assigned by the Parts Manager

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of Automotive Parts experience is preferable
  • Experience using a DMS
  • CDK in particular is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an upbeat and engaging attitude
  • Strong verbal communication and writing skills
  • Organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow set and standard procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask
  • Flexible and open to change; take on special tasks as needed
  • Ability to work independently and take selfinitiative
  • Basic computer skills and comfort with learning new software and systems
  • Must have a full driver's licence and clean driver's abstract
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts and technical/mechanical repairs
