- Must have a basic knowledge of the mechanics and hydraulics, and the limitations of the machine.
- Must have skills to conduct an inspection checklist on equipment such as tracks, lights, brakes, fuel, oil and water.
- Must keep equipment clean, lubricated, and in good working order, including good housekeeping.
- Must receive and execute directions from the Paving Foreman or Superintendent.
- Must operate the transfer machine in coordination with the dump man and Paver Operator to match the material inflow, on-board storage and material discharge to the paver to meet the prescribed mix and laydown goals, facilitating non-stop paving.
- Must safely operate equipment in and in the midst of active traffic.
- Must have a basic knowledge of abilities and limitations of the machine in all applications.
- Must have the ability to operate the vehicle safely in job site situations and follow the policies and procedures of the company.
- Must perform pre- and post-operation walk around inspections and report any mechanical issues that need more attention by maintenance personnel
- Other duties as required
- Minimum 1 Year experience operating a MTV/Shuttle Buggy
- Minimum 3 years' experience in road construction
- Preferably a member of Local 793
- Experience working in and around Heavy construction equipment
- Must have a Valid G License
- Must be able to Lift up to 50 Lbs.
- Must be willing to work Day, Night, and Weekend shifts
