    Description

    As a Senior Civil Estimator, your responsibilities include:

    1. Analyzing contract documents (drawings, specifications, contract deliverables, etc.) to prepare self-perform cost estimates of projects for earthworks (site development, road building, detail excavation).
    2. Assembling accurate, timely, and well-organized estimates, including hard-bid, construction management, and design-build.
    3. Preparing quantity take-offs.
    4. Organizing subcontractor quotes when the bid is successful, rewriting binders, and assisting the buy-out process.
    5. Setting up new cost estimates in bidding software.
    6. Developing schedule for accuracy and determining production rates.
    7. Contacting subcontractors and vendors for specific divisions to get external pricing.
    8. Monitoring the success of a project, noting potential challenges, and building relationships with sub-trades for future opportunities.
    9. Identifying potential project risks.
    10. Attending pre-tender meetings & site visits, where applicable.
    11. Working with proposal & operations teams in writing execution methodology, safety plans, Indigenous Engagement Strategies, and quality documentation.
    12. Presenting Estimate to management for Review.

    Is this the right role for you? Project Management and Field Experience is an asset. 3+ years of civil construction experience is an asset. Familiarity with B2W suite and asset. 8+ years of estimating experience. Self-motivated, energetic, and reliable with a positive disposition. Good communicator with attention to detail and good documentation skills.
