What's the role?


As a
Business Analyst, you are responsible for performing strategic business analyses for the organization in support of corporate goals and objectives.

As a Business Analyst, you are responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency.

This position works closely with external vendors to ensure that the needs and requirements of Coastal Community are incorporated into the end product to meet the organizational objectives and strategic direction.

To achieve this goal the
Business Analyst has a high level of interaction with managers and key stakeholders to ensure that business products and processes meet end users requirements.

Your duties also include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifies documents and recommends opportunities for improvement in requirement definition, technical specification, procedures documentation and production change methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain documentation such as process flows, use cases, and user stories
  • Creates detailed business requirements and functional specifications to support the development of new products and features
  • Facilitates workshops and meetings with crossfunctional teams to gather requirements, resolve issues, Collaborates with stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements
  • Identifies information procedures and decision flows, as well as reorganizes new processes and workflows in the business processes.
  • Provides advice, develops, and integrates processes and information models between processes to eliminate redundancies. Assists in coordinating, testing of technical and software changes. Assists with or develops improved change management processes.
  • Interviews and works with end user groups in evaluating existing business methods according to end user objectives to implement process enhancements and optimizations.
  • Provides support to departmental staff and clients on system and technical features and processes as required.

  • Defines documents, designs and redesigns solutions and procedures.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma requiring 34 years of fulltime study or have an equivalent combination of education and experience in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Business Analyst certification is an asset
  • Experience in a financial institution is preferred
Ideally, you are a flexible, collaborative team player with:

  • Proven experience in overseeing design, development and implementation of software solutions, systems or products
  • Proven experience in document management and retention
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and project management tools
  • Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and data visualization tools such as Power BI is considered an asset
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communications skills
  • Strong probablesolving and decisionmaking abilities
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
