Kirmac currently operates 18 locations across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


  • Analysis and Estimating
  • Collaborate with relevant personnel to uphold analysis processes, insurance compliance, and file management, adhering to standard operating procedures.


  • Store Administration

  • Manage daily administrative tasks, including file reconciliation, timecard reviews, payroll oversight, and addressing customer service and facility issues as needed.


  • Customer Service

  • Work with store administration staff to enhance the overall customer experience through proactive communication, quality checks, and resolution of issues.


  • Training and Development

  • Support staff development by delegating tasks, reviewing repair estimates, observing performance, and conducting regular performance reviews.
  • Facility Appearance and Maintenance
  • Ensure the facility adheres to cleanliness standards, oversee repairs, and address issues promptly, including afterhours emergencies.


  • Production Management

  • Collaborate with staff to optimize production processes, review reports, administer production meetings, and manage materials usage.


  • Parts

  • Coordinate with staff and vendors for efficient parts management, including receiving, organizing, and returning parts as necessary.


  • Business Development

  • Promote the location and brand in the community through outreach to local businesses and maintaining relationships with insurance partners.


  • Financial Review

  • Participate in financial review sessions, monitor daily metrics, and lead monthly financial reviews, identifying areas for improvement.


  • Vendor Management

  • Monitor and communicate with vendors to address service issues, escalating concerns to higher management when necessary.

Qualifications:


  • Eligible to work in Canada.
  • Valid Canadian driver's license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of managerial experience.
  • Minimum of 35 years of experience in the automotive collision industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of ICBC and private insurance company preferred.
  • Knowledge of estimating software preferred.
  • Previous experience as a body technician or paint technician.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work tactfully and decisively in diverse situations.
  • Adaptability to changing work tasks and environments.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.

Working Conditions:


  • Mainly indoor work with occasional outdoor tasks.
  • Ergonomic concerns related to computer use.
  • Occasional exposure to hazardous materials.
  • May be required to drive customer cars within the shop.
  • Intermittent exposure to loud noises in the shop.

Physical Requirements:


  • Safely perform essential job functions, meeting productivity standards.
  • Ability to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone.
  • Lift and carry up to 3050 lbs. occasionally.
