ENVIRONMENTAL ALLOWANCE:

$3.28 hourly ($6,836 per year)

$1.97 hourly ($4,102 per year)


LIVING COST DIFFERENTIAL:

$4.06 hourly ($8,471 per year)

$2.44 hourly ($5,082 per year)

For example, the total salary including allowances of a single employee (without dependents) can reach between $65,000 to $70,000 per year Even more if you add overtime

Duties:


  • During winter months*, removes snow, water, ice and other surface contaminants from taxiways, runways, aprons, public access roads, parking areas, meteorological and telecommunications sites, boundary lights and other airfield, airport surfaces and drainage systems.
  • During summer months, maintains and improves conditions of runways, taxiways, aprons, roads, and other airport access areas, grass and soil covered fields and storm drainage systems.
  • Performs preventive maintenance duties and minor repairs on equipment and structures. Assists other trades with major repairs that do not require specialized training or journeyman proficiency.
  • Limited vacation from October to April.
